The latest Mystic Bayou novel from Audie Award-nominated author Molly Harper will have you swooning with passion and wailing with laughter!

Cordelia Canton is on a top-secret assignment: travel to Mystic Bayou and use her powers as a touch-know psychic to learn more about the mysterious artifact that's been pulled from the rift site. She's partnered with Brendan O'Connor, a rare male banshee whose tall, dark, and broody good looks are a major distraction. Before long, it becomes clear that the artifact they're studying is sentient - and brimming with supernatural power. Can they harness its magic in time to stop the secret forces conspiring to steal it?

paranormal ROMANCE Small-town SUSPENSE

Always Be My Banshee by Molly Harper is the fourth Mystic Bayou audiobook and brings closure to the rift, but leaves the door open for more cases. Addictive, fun, romantic and suspenseful I devoured this audio!

This time we have two newcomers arriving in Mystic Bayou and both are unusual. Brendan O’Connor, is a rare male banshee and Cordelia Canton is a touch-psychic. They’ve been brought here by the league to decipher the object found near the rift that is changing the paranormal landscape.

I enjoyed both Brendan and Cordelia, from their interaction with the town to the way they were together. We get a romance that took a little while to develop as Cordelia has issues with her gift and I rooted for them.

A lot happens with regard to the league and the rift. So much so that I worry this may be the last. However, a quick search assures me two more audiobooks are in the works..and I am delighted!

Humor, pie and danger await you in this installment. The league arrives and things get pretty tense, but Harper pulled me in and I devoured this in almost a single sitting.

Amanda Ronconi and Jonathan Davis narrated as the chapters alternated between Cordelia and Brendan. I enjoy getting both of their perspectives. The narrates nail the humor and snark and have become the voices for this series.

If you are looking for a fun escape, grab your earbuds and take a trip to Mystic Bayou. I guarantee you’ll want to stay awhile and will soon crave pie.

I waited to read this until after I read and reviewed it. I gave it 3.75 stars rounded up. I did enjoy it though! I’m glad to know there’s 2 more coming. I put in my review that it seemed like an ending so I am glad I am wrong.

Hi Kim! I hope you are doing well! I took an unexpected hiatus last month because I could not focus on blogging with everything going on. I hope you and your family are doing okay. Have you been able to see the little ones?

Anyways, this book sounds like it has cozy mystery vibes. I’ve been very into true crime documentaries and was just thinking about reading some suspense books. I like that this has some humor and a romance.
