Queen of paranormal romantic comedy Molly Harper delivers love and laughter in this magnificent series finale - available in audio first!

Eva Boudreaux keeps the truth about her life before arriving in Mystic Bayou a carefully guarded secret, flying under the radar as a talented boat mechanic. In the swampy little town filled with powerful supernatural beings, Eva never expected to strike up a charged flirtation with one of the Bayouā€™s human residents.

Alex Lancaster is far too polished for Evaā€™s taste - not to mention the danger that comes with his high-ranking position in the League, which could expose her secrets. Trouble is, she canā€™t resist his disarming sense of humor or the chemistry that crackles to life whenever heā€™s near. Will Alex be able to handle a woman like her? Or will her difficult past keep them apart?

Either way, theyā€™ll need to join forces to solve one final mystery in Mystic Bayou. The fate of the town - and their hearts - depends upon it.

Humor paranormal ROMANCE Small-town

I am going to miss visiting Mystic Bayou. I love this town and its residence. Thankfully, A Farewell to Charms delivered everything I love about this series. Harper sprinkles it with adorkable romance, a touch of suspense, friendship and magic.

Eva Boudreaux lives in the swamp near her boss and loves her job as a boat mechanic. She is 6 ft, super strong and blonde with plenty of curves and a big fat secret. One not even her closest friends in the bayou know about. After helping Alex Lancaster with car trouble, she is alarmed when the sexy League member tells her he checked into her background, and things don’t add up. He wants to know who she really is. Oh boy, did Alex tell her he looked her up because he was interested in her… nope. It was all kinds of awkward.

I was angry with Alex and felt bad for Eva, especially after she confessed. I wasn’t pleased with her behavior (towards the end). However, that didn’t stop me from cheering for them. I glady road the roller coaster of emotions, including laughter and squeals of delight. This adorkable romance was filled with gooey cuteness, awkward moments, miscommunication and everything from sweet to steamy.

While not my favorite of the series, I love the camaraderie between the friends and how they rallied for our couple. And while I knew we’d get an HEA, outside forces, one stubborn gal and baggage on both sides kept me listening and crossing my fingers.

While each audio in the Mystic Bayou series contains one HEA, I recommend listening in order for the friendships, town and general awesomeness of the overall ARC. If you enjoy paranormal romance, unique characters, small-towns and plenty of humor and talk of pies….lots of yummy pies, you’ll want to listen!

Amanda RonconiĀ andĀ Jonathan Davis narrated and captured the couples’ and their points of view perfectly. I love Ronconi and Davis is enjoyable as the male narrative. I highly recommend listening to this series.

It has been far too long since I listened/read to anything by Molly Harper or visited Midnight Bayou. I need to get back to this series. It’s such fan.

I hope to finish this series as library reads at some point. Thanks for the heads up about their annoying behavior that didn’t ruin the fun of the story for you.
