Her Renegade Rancher by Jennifer Ryan is the fifth novel in the contemporary romance series Montana Men. Ryan delivers a romance set against the wide-open skies of Montana with a dash of heat and a suspenseful plot woven into this couple’s story.

Colt Kendrick is the youngest Kendrick brother and he stepped aside when his best friend claimed the girl, but his friend is now married, and a shared kiss has left him feeling guilty. Colt is a totally swoon worthy rancher who had no trouble curling my toes.  🙂

Luna Hill is haunted by the kiss she and Colt shared. Advice from an old friend has her approaching Colt again and maybe just maybe the timing will be right. Luna is a local server, who just finished her degree and dreams of working with special needs children in an equestrian program.

Her Renegade Rancher had such an interesting and suspenseful story wrapped around this romance. A dear friend of Luna’s passes away and leaves her with a gift that could make all of her dreams come true. It also comes with huge responsibility and not everyone is happy about it. In fact, her very life and those she loves are threatened. Oh, what a tangled web greed weaves, and Ryan did a fantastic job with this thread. I was hooked, from the terms of the will, to the bottom-feeders. Some twists, and heart-stopping moments had me flipping’ the pages.

There is a little back history between Colt and Luna in this story, but some may still cry insta-love. However, I was perfectly willing to swallow the little blue pill and became quickly invested. Colt and Luna are such sweet characters. They are both thoughtful, humble, and just genuine people. I needed wanted them to have all the feels and happiness they deserved. Ryan delivered delicious chemistry, tenderness and curl your toes moments.

Next up is Ford’s story in His Cowboy Heart. It releases February 2017 and I cannot wait. Her Renegade Rancher delivered a story that pulled me in and emotionally connected me to the characters. Secondary characters added suspense, humor and beautiful moments creating a well-rounded story.

Espresso review: Two characters you cannot help but love, work together to fulfill a dead man’s dreams and find happiness as other’s plot to take it all. Ryan pulled me  in from page one and held me in her grasps until the last page. Delightful!

    Sometimes an author makes it so easy to swallow ‘the little blue pill’. I’ve thought about that before of why sometimes and not others certain elements work for me and can only put it down to author gift.

    I have book one and look forward to this series so much. Cowboy ranch life and brothers, sigh….

    It’s funny how so many cowboy/ranch romance stories are in Montana. All the great descriptions of Montana in those stories that I’ve read, make me want to move there or at least go see a cowboy. lol

      LOL, we have visited Montana and it so beautiful..but winters are brutal and unless my hubby becomes a cowboy, there is no work for him…lol

    I struggle so much with Jennifer Ryan’s books. The premise is always so appealing but the tone never works for me. I wish I did love them because I have so many friends who do. So glad you enjoyed this, though.

      This is the only series I have tried by her. I have a few authors like that, where everyone loves them and I am like nope, just doesn’t work for me.

    I gave the first two books in this series to my sister in law to read first and she LOVED them, so I’m looking forward to meeting some hot Montana men myself. I don’t even think I’ll mind the somewhat insta-love feeling to their relationship in this one, it was clearly easy for you to overlook:) Thanks for the review Kim!
