The Trouble with Christmas is the first in a new series by Debbie Mason called Christmas, Colorado and already I want to back my bags and move there. Christmas, was delightful with its busy bodies, quaint shops and a bar called the Penalty Box.. The tale was romantic, with humor, lessons and of course the spirit of Christmas. Mini review: humor, snowflakes, a little drama and romance made this a sweet afternoon read by the fire.
Holiday Games by Jaci Burton
While looking for a holiday read, I stumbled upon this yummy cover for Holiday Games by Jaci Burton. Not realizing this was a novella for the Play by Play series and decided to read it. While the tale was sweet, hot and filled with holiday cheer, my enthusiasm for the err cover and lack of research may have hindered my enjoyment. These characters are clearly established in previous books, and we just jump into the tale. Mini review: sexy, hot and sweet but I didn’t connect.
Christmas on Main Street by JoAnn Ross, Susan Donovan, Luann McLane, and Alexis Morgan
Christmas on Main Street offers a delightful collection of romances that are sure to put you in the holiday spirit from authors JoAnn Ross, Susan Donovan, Luann McLane and Alexis Morgan. From second-chance romances to magical legends I was swept away as I met each couple and celebrated the magic of Christmas. Mini review: enchanting, romantic and full of holiday magic.
Christmas in Snowflake Canyon by RaeAnne Thayne
Christmas in Snowflake Canyon while the sixth book in the Hope’s Crossing series by RaeAnne Thayne worked lovely as a standalone. Thayne delivered a heart-warming, rip your heart out and make you fall in love romance that twisted around my heart. Filled with unique characters, hope, growth and joy she made me laugh, cry and believe. Mini-review: romantic, heart warming with complicated characters you just want to embrace.
Gifts of Honor by Stacy Gail & Rebecca Crowley
Gifts of Honor features two heart-warming holiday tales about loss, hope and second chances that had me crying, signing and craving chocolate. I am a sucker for holiday themed novels, but when you add in injured, damaged military men and their romances, lord have mercy this woman gets gooey on the inside. The book contains two stories; Starting from Scratch by Stacy Gail, an author, whose work I have previously enjoyed, and new to me author Rebecca Crowley shared a Hero’s Homecoming. Both authors had me breaking out the tissues and believing in the power of love. Mini review: heart-warming, sensual and perfect for the holidays.
