Sleigh Bells in the Snow by Sarah Morgan
I love holiday themed books and was excited to crack open Sleigh Bells in the Snow by Sarah Morgan. I was expecting a heart-warming romance filled with holiday magic, but this novel was so much more. It turned out to be my favorite read of the holiday season! It introduced me to a new author and perhaps the greatest gift of all the O’Neil Brothers and a new series to swoon over. Mini review: Wonderfully fleshed out characters and small-town charm. This left me yearning for a holiday in Snow Crystal, Vermont.
The House on Main Street by Shirlee McCoy
Shirlee McCoy’s The House on Main Street the first novel in the Apple Valley series takes us to the small town of Apple Valley, Washington. I love small-town settings and rich characters. McCoy delivered with feisty characters, a friends to lovers trope and a mystery. I found myself completely caught up in this charming tale. Mini review: Mixed with humor, romance and love. A little boy who will steal your heart and mystery made this an enchanting read.
The Perfect Match by Kristan Higgins
The Perfect Match by Kristan Higgins is the second book in the Blue Heron series. I did not realize at the time that this was part of a series, but it worked well as a standalone. Second chance love and a marriage arrangement are tropes visited in this small-town romance, but side stories added depth and connection to this tale that kept me turning the pages. Mini review: heart-warming, and realistic with lessons and love.
White Lie Christmas by Christine Bell & Riley Murphy
White Lie Christmas by Christine Bell and Riley Murphy was the perfect holiday novella. It was filled with gooey goodness, heat, romance and then sprinkled with the magic of the holidays. I consumed this in a single sitting as my emotions were swept up in the tale. I laughed, sighed and even shed a tear. Mini review: heart-warming friends to lover trope, with humor, heat and magic.
