I adore the Lady Sherlock series and easily slipped into Miss Moriarty, I Presume? by Sherry Thomas. Narrated by Kate Reading, this is the sixth audiobook and what a treat it was! From the seaside mystery to our nemesis, Moriarty, and, of course, our slow-burning romance, it was splendid. Grab a cuppa and check out my thoughts.

Charlotte Holmes comes face to face with her enemy when Moriarty turns to her in his hour of need, in the USA Today bestselling series set in Victorian England.
A most unexpected client shows up at Charlotte Holmes's doorstep: Moriarty himself. Moriarty fears that tragedy has befallen his daughter and wants Charlotte to find out the truth.
Charlotte and Mrs. Watson travel to a remote community of occult practitioners where Moriarty's daughter was last seen, a place full of lies and liars. Meanwhile, Charlotte's sister Livia tries to make sense of a mysterious message from her beau Mr. Marbleton. And Charlotte's longtime friend and ally Lord Ingram at last turns his seductive prowess on Charlotte--or is it the other way around?
But the more secrets Charlotte unravels about Miss Moriarty's disappearance, the more she wonders why Moriarty has entrusted this delicate matter to her of all people. Is it merely to test Charlotte's skills as an investigator, or has the man of shadows trapped her in a nest of vipers?
Brace yourself as the story takes an edgier tone as we move into the sixth installment. Moriarty appears on Charlotte’s doorstep in need of assistance in finding his daughter and it was simply splendid. Instinctively, Charlotte knows something is off, but nevertheless, she and her companions investigate.
I adore everything about this series. The characters are an absolute delight. Charlotte and her mannerisms, methodical deductions and obsession with treats make me squee. Her lover Lord Ingram, along with Mrs. Watson, and her sister Livia enhance the story as they aid Charlotte.
The romance from domestic moments to their missives had me craving more moments between them. Ms. Thomas has kept me on edge from anticipating their first kiss to swooning over their passion and delicious banter. The romance is brilliant, genuine, and filled with a blend of passion and humor.
Miss Moriarity, I Presume? was suspenseful and held me captive. The twist and nail-biting ending were well done. I am as hooked and passionate about book six as I was the first in the series. Sherry Thomas has taken everything I love about Sherlock Holmes from the characters to the cases and made them her own. Lady Charlotte Holmes and her motley crew of companions have become favorite characters, and I cannot wait for more adventures with them.
Fans of mysteries, Sherlock Holmes, suspense and well done characters will find this series both addictive and satisfying. I recommend the Lady Sherlock series be read or listened to in the order of its release because of the character relationships and overall villain ARC. However, each book contains a complete mystery.
Kate Reading narrates and has become the voice of these characters. While I am sure reading the series is delightful, the way in which Reading gives voice, sets the tone and enhances the overall story makes listening a must.

I love this series and as you say, it is stellar all along the way. Maybe I’ll do the audio version for a re-read at some point.
