I absolutely love the Below the Stairs Mystery novels & novellas and was excited for an early copy of Murder in Blackfriars by Jennifer Ashley. When Daniel McAdam learns a man claims to know about his childhood, Kat and he set out to learn more. It soon leads to murder and a hunt to uncover what he knew. An addictive installment with suspense, touching moments and more.
Fire Line by Maggie Gates is the third and final book in the wildly romantic Griffith Brothers series, featuring brothers and their family ranch. This story belongs to CJ (Carson James) and the fireball woman who steals his heart, but not before he goes down fighting. You’ll want to curl up with one.
In A Moveable Feast, Kat Holloway’s employer abruptly moves Easter dinner to her friend’s house when their cook becomes ill…but something is afoot and Kate is determined to discover what is happening.
With the change of season, my eye has been drawn towards mystery thrillers, and the audiobook of The Dead Husband Cookbook by Danielle Valentine caught my eye. This thriller, narrated by Lauryn Allman, drew me in with its atmospheric vibe and talk of food.
Vera Wong’s Guide to Snooping (on a Dead Man) by Jesse Q. Sutanto is the second audiobook in the Vera Wong series. She introduces new characters and brings back familiar ones as Vera helps a young woman find her missing friend. Suspense, humor, and found family delivered as narrator Eunice Wong brought the characters to life.
