Clean Sweep by writing duo Ilona Andrews is the first in the Innkeeper Chronicles series and once again, I chose to listen with narrator Renee Raudman. A cross between science fiction and urban fantasy Clean Sweep was an absolute blast on audio.
Revenant by Kat Richardson
Revenant is the ninth and final book in the Greywalker series by Kat Richardson. I have thoroughly enjoyed my journey with Harper and Quintin. Richardson’s urban fantasy series was fresh and the cases fascinated me. For fans of the series, Revenant offered closure as well as an exciting case that had us rushing around Europe.
Magic Breaks by Ilona Andrews
OMG..I am finally up-to-date with the Kate Daniels’ series and have now joined the ranks of fans waiting for more! Magic Breaks about blew my mind. As ya’ll know I am listening to the audio books narrated by the fabulous Renée Raudman. In the audio edition, we get a message from the author(s) as we have reached a pivotal point in the arc plot. I was glad since this almost read like the final book and that my friends would have been awful. Mind blowing, action packed and a superb example of the brilliance that comprises this writing duo I was left spent and wordless.
Cursed by Fire by Danielle Annett
Cursed by Fire by Danielle Annett is the first book in the Blood & Magic series. An adult urban fantasy that takes place in Spokane, Washington featuring a mercenary named Aria Naveed. She is also a Psyker (human born with psychokinetic powers) who has trouble controlling her abilities. This was a short novel and a solid start to the series.
A Curse Unbroken by Cecy Robson
A Curse Unbroken by Cecy Robson is the fifth Weird Girls novel and final book about Celia Wird and Aric, at least for now. This urban fantasy romance is intense as evil once again threatens Celia and those she loves. Not quite as dark and gory as it’s predecessor Robson finally delivers what fans have been pining for.
