How the White Trash Zombie Got Her Groove Back by Diana Rowland

Now that I’ve listened to How the White Trash Zombie Got Her Groove Back by Diana Rowland, I am up-to-date with this amazing urban fantasy and left patiently waiting with fans for the next release. This installment has us traveling when the Saberton Corporation kidnaps several of the Zombie Mafia members. Once again, we see growth in our beloved zombie girl Angel as she takes on New York. Action packed and chock full of humor it was a fun listen.

The Veil by Chloe Neill

The Veil is the first book in the urban fantasy series Devil’s Isle by Chloe Neill. She is an author who has been on my list forever and when I saw this was set in NOLA, I knew we were destine to finally dance. I am so glad because I slipped right into this story- I enjoyed the characters and cannot wait to return.

Undying Legion is the second novel in Clay & Susan Griffith’s Victorian-era urban fantasy. Dark, suspenseful and weaved in magic and necromancy the authors kept me on edge while fleshing out characters and their world. I chose to listen and once again, narrator Nicholas Guy Smith brought this tale to life as Simon and Kate investigate these suspicious murders.

This year I have been making a conscious effort to try new to me authors and when an opportunity presented itself to read Flight from Death by Yasmime Galenorn, I jumped. Flight from Death is the first in her new Fly by Night, urban fantasy series. While it takes place in the same realm as her popular Otherworld series, it is not necessary to read them. Did I mention the main character is a DRAGON! An intense haunting and rarely seen supernatural creatures make Flight from Death a great read for fans of urban fantasy.
