I have been thoroughly enjoying the Duke’s Men series by Sabrina Jeffries with its regency romances and suspenseful mysteries. How the Scoundrel Seduces shares investigator Tristan Bonnaud’s story and that of a young woman we met in the last pages of When the Rogue Returns. Tristan is swoon-worthy and I adored seeing him fall. How the Scoundrel Seduces brings us laughter, romance and suspense while tying up some threads from previous books. I consumed this in a single evening and was left pining for the next book.
The Cursed by Heather Graham
The Cursed by Heather Graham is the twelfth book in the Krewe of Hunters series but work as a standalone. Each story contains one couple and one mystery to solve all wrapped in paranormal woo-woo. The Krewe of Hunters’ make-up a special unit of the FBI that deals with strange cases. Teams are located throughout the USA. As always, Graham allowed me to slip into the story and enjoy! Find out why I think you should grab a coffee and curl up with The Cursed…
Losing Logan by Sherry D. Ficklin
Last year I read and loved, Extracted, by Sherry D. Ficklin & Tyler Jolley. I was delighted to dive into Ficklin’s young adult paranormal, Losing Logan. This mystery was refreshing, sweet and at times hilarious. Ficklin’s references to science fiction movies and television shows will delight readers. Zoe navigates interacting with a ghost, falling in love and saying good-bye. With fleshed out characters, danger and snark Losing Logan is not to be missed.
Dangerous Angel by Stacy Gail
Dangerous Angel is the fourth book in the Earth Angels series by Stacy Gail and perhaps my favorite of the series. From the wicked banter to the sexual tension I fell hard and fast for Kyle and Nikita. Mini review: Intense, suspenseful, and smokin’ hot. I consumed this in a single afternoon.
The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin
The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer is the first novel in the Mara Dyer trilogy by Michelle Hodkin. The tale is a mystery and a romance with a paranormal twist. It has an unreliable narrator and was one heck of a crazy ride. Mini review: Twisted, dark, romantic, frustrating, and suspenseful. Hodkin delivered a pull your hair-out read that left me scratching my head and screaming for more.
