Thanks to a fellow blogger I received a box of children’s books from Penguin and will be sharing them with you this summer. When the box arrived Sophia’s eyes lit up. She loves opening packages and squealed when she saw what was inside. In the box where three books, and today we are sharing Raybot by Adam F. Watkins. This was the book Sophia demanded to read first. Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy! You will want to pick up Raybot for the little ones in your life 🙂
Nonna’s Corner: Some of Sophia’s Favorite Books
Princess Sophia turned one in January and I thought it would be fun to share what books Sophia pulls from the bookshelf on the daily. She has these memorized and gets so excited as we read them.
Nonna’s Corner- How to Mend a Heart by Sara Gillingham
Welcome to another Nonna’s Corner. Today I am sharing How to Mend a Heart by Sara Gillingham. This hardcover novel with it’s colorful illustrations uses sewing as a metaphor for mending a broken heart. Cute and simplistic it offers the adult reader a chance to discuss with young readers “broken hearts and feelings.”
Nonna’s Corner- Multicultural Children’s Book Day
Today on Nonna’s Corner we are celebrating Multicultural Children’s Book Day #ReadYourWorld. I am going to share DLee’s Bad Day, book five in the DLee’s World series by author Diana Lee Santamaria and an activity to encourage reading.
Count to 10 with a Mouse by Margaret Wise Brown
Today I am sharing a book that my husband and I picked up for Sophia. Count to 10 with a Mouse by Margaret Wise Brown, author of Goodnight Moon. It is beautifully illustrated by Kristen Richards. Our edition came in a boxed set with an adorable stuffed mouse. We picked it up at Barnes and Noble, but when I checked at Amazon it is out of stock. Hopefully it will be available around the holidays. Grab a cup of mocha peppermint coffee and check out this cute book!
