Narrated by Rick Adamson, Tell Me Where She’s Buried by Patrick Logan is the first audiobook in the Striker and Frost FBI Thriller series. It’s been a decade since FBI Agent Constantine ‘Con’ Striker put away the Sandman serial killer, who refused to tell Con where he buried his sister. An engaging thriller with flawed characters and plenty of twists.

CRIME Law MURDERMYSTERY thriller

The Striker and Frost series is an FBI Crime Thriller and while this is the first full-length audiobook, I highly recommend beginning with Tell Me Where The Sandman Sleeps as it tells us about Con’s sister going missing and the case that made Striker a notorious FBI Agent.

Tell Me Where She’s Buried takes place a decade after Tell Me Where the Sandman Sleeps, and Con Striker is frankly a mess. He drinks too much, his marriage has fallen apart, his boss wants him gone; and Con is obsessed with finding out where the Sandman buried her body. So far, the Sandman has refused to talk. Con doesn’t work well with others, and when he is assigned a new agent to assist him on a pirating case, he treats the guy like shit and gets him transferred.

Enter, rookie agent Alex Frost. Frost just passed her exams and is thrilled to be partnered with Con Striker. Her boss, however, wants her to spy on him and update him to oust him. The tale that unfolds marks the beginning of their partnership and the anniversary of Valerie Striker’s disappearance.

Agent Striker was tenacious when we met him in Tell Me Where the Sandman Sleeps, so I had to come to terms with the mess of a man we meet. The tale started off slow until Frost appeared, and then things sped up and pulled me in.

We’ve got several case threads. The one they are assigned regarding a Hollywood movie production company whose films keep ending up on piracy sites. Then we have the case Striker is obsessed with, his missing sister. Striker suffers from guilt regarding Valerie, and it’s caused his life to unravel, but Frost slowly helps him pull things together even as he spirals out of control. Plenty of twists regarding both cases made for some intense moments as we saw the beginning of this dynamic team forming a bond.

Rick Adamson narrates, and while the change in narrator threw me in the beginning, I felt he did a great job of giving voice to both Striker and Frost. The story lends itself perfectly to the audio format, and listening enhanced my overall enjoyment.

A change in narrator in a series or interconnected series is always a bit weird at first but I am glad he did a great job!

This sounds like a good thriller, and I would start with Tell Me Where The Sandman Sleeps first to get more of a feel for the characters. Nice review!
