It’s another edition of Nonna’s Corner. I started this feature when I became a Nonna. It is a chance for me to bond with my grandbabies, dubbed the “Royals” by a Caffeinated follower. As I explore books for them, I hope to share them with you. Today I am sharing my thoughts on the illustrated hardcover novel When You’re Feeling Sick.
Nonna’s Corner: Picture Books for Christmas
The holiday season is in full swing, and today for Nonna’s Corner I am sharing two delightful picture books from Random House that are perfect for the wee one’s in your life. I love gifting books to young minds and seeing their happy faces come to life. The Twelve Days of Christmas: A Peek-Through Picture Book and The Lost Gift: A Christmas Story will make delightful editions to your bookshelf. Grab a cup of peppermint mocha and check them out.
Nonna’s Corner: The Little Elephant Who Wants to Fall Asleep
The Little Elephant Who Wants to Fall Asleep: A New Way of Getting Children to Sleep by Carl-Johan Forssén Ehrlin intrigued me with its sleep technique, so I decided to review it. Soothing narration shares the story of Ellen the Elephant using soothing voices and light music to induce you child to drift off to sleep.
Nonna’s Corner- Little Tree by Loren Long
Today I am delighted to share Little Tree by Loren Long, while geared towards children this book has a message for everyone facing change or letting go. Beautifully illustrated, this delightful tale is one that will sit among the classics. Grab a cup of tea and discover Little Tree.
Nonna’s Corner: The Thank You Book by Mo Willems
Today on Nonna’s Corner I am delighted to share The Thank You Book by Mo Willems. I was leading a Bloggercon roundtable at BEA when the ticketed signing took place. Berls @ Fantasy is More Fun, loves Mr. Willems and graciously stood in line to get a signed copy for Princess Sophia. While this book is geared towards readers aged 4-8 and is perfect for grades 1-3, Sophia and I enjoyed the antics of Elephant and Piggie.
