Life is a mixed bag for Piper Calloway.
On the one hand, she’s a twenty-nine-year-old VP at her dad’s multibillion-dollar real estate development firm, and living the high single life with her two best friends in a swanky downtown penthouse. On the other hand, she’s considered a pair of sexy legs in a male-dominated world and constantly has to prove her worth. Plus she’s stuck seeing her narcissistic ex-fiancé—a fellow VP—on the other side of her glass office wall every day.
Things get exponentially more complicated for Piper when she runs into Kyle Miller—the handsome new security guard at Calloway Group, and coincidentally the first love of her life.
The guy she hasn’t seen or heard from since they were summer camp counselors together. The guy from the wrong side of the tracks. The guy who apparently doesn’t even remember her name.
Piper may be a high-powered businesswoman now, but she soon realizes that her schoolgirl crush is still alive and strong, and crippling her concentration. What’s more, despite Kyle’s distant attitude, she’s convinced their reunion isn’t at all coincidental, and that his feelings for her still run deep. And she’s determined to make him admit to them, no matter the consequences.
I’ve been a fan of K.A. Tucker since the beginning. I’ve learned that she brings something different to the table each time. Say You Still Love shares the story of first love and what happens when you get a second chance but it’s also about taking risks and stepping out on your own.
Tucker delivered a unique tale. Parts have a young adult vibe as we spend time at Camp WAWA where our couple meet as camp counselors in their youth. It was filled with firsts, friendships, kisses, and parental expectations.
The present day storyline has our heroine stepping into her role as VP at her dad’s multibillion-dollar real estate development firm. It delivered a closed door romance filled with laughter, tears and swoons. It’s the story of what happens when your first love is the new security guard at your firm… a story of secrets, growth and second chances.
I loved the feel of this story and how Tucker allowed it to unfold. I became caught up in the past and each reveal connected me more to these characters. Combined with the current storyline I was hooked. The knowing, the reveals, and the rekindling had just enough tension to keep me flipping the pages.
Tucker also gave us the story of friendships, family dynamics, and the inner workings of the development firm as Piper works to take the reins and earn the respect of the boys’ club.
There were some suspenseful threads, and twists in both the business dealings and relationships, but Tucker made them all feel realistic.
Say You Still Love Me made me remember my own summers at camp, friendships and that first summer love.

I have only read one KA Tucker book but I really liked it and I need to read this one too! It sounds like it is going to be a brilliant read. I have to admit I have read a lot of romances with the love interest being called Tucker so it always mixes me up a bit 😛 But I’ll survive.

I have seen this book EVERYWHERE. K.A. Tucker is clearly a blogger favorite at this point, and would you believe I still haven’t read anything of her? I do so love the blurb for this one, and it’s on my TBR.
Great review!

I like the sound of this one and already added it to my wishlist or I might check out the audiobook, not sure yet. I like the sound of the story taking place in their past and in the present. Great review!

This was my first time reading a K.A. Tucker novel and I really enjoyed it, especially the flashbacks to camps and all of the friendships that were made. What other Tucker books to you recommend? I was leaning toward reading The Simple Wild next.

I haven’t read any of her books yet, but everyone says that her stories are all pretty amazing. Glad you enjoyed this one! Hugs, RO

I love when the back and forth in time period starts to reveal the larger plot. When it works well, as in this book it seems, you really can’t go wrong!
Kathryn
So looking forward to this, I’ve become a big fan of her writing, I must go see have I ordered it and if not do so. I don’t mind sweet although I get a little tired of back and forth timelines but oh well – sometimes it does work.

I enjoyed this one so much! It was so easy to feel the connection between Piper and Kyle in the flashback sections at camp. And I loved the secondary characters and friendships.
