Funny story, I never intended to read A Shattered Moment by Tiffany King the first in her Fractured Lives series. I accidentally accepted it for review and thought-here, we go another New Adult with drama. Then I took a closer look at the synopsis, grabbed a box of truffles, a glass of wine and settled in. Guess What! I absolutely adored this touching story of overcoming, pain, loss, love and growth. I could not put it down and tip my hat to King for offering a new adult contemporary with depth and characters who will steal your heart.
Flirting with Fire by Kate Meader
Oh baby, wait until you meet the Dempsey family! Flirting with Fire is the first in Kate Meader’s Hot in Chicago series. She delivered a sweet, humorous, hot, and heartwarming romance all while introducing secondary characters whose books I cannot wait to read.
Fading Out by Trisha Wolfe
Fading Out is the third book in the Living Heartwood series by Trisha Wolfe. Even though I did not read the first two books I chose to dive in when the author assured me it worked as a standalone. Fading Out shares the romance that develops between Arian and Ryder. It isn’t an easy journey but they both find themselves through the other. Hot and heartfelt I quickly devoured this one.
Maybe Not by Colleen Hoover
Ya’ll know I usually skip all the prequels and novellas between books with very few exceptions, but after reading and loving Maybe Someday –I just had to have Warren and Bridgette’s story. Thus I picked up Maybe Not by Colleen Hoover. I am so glad I did because- Warren, Warren, Warren. The man is hilarious, sweet, and yeah ridiculously swoon-worthy.
Come to Me Recklessly by A.L. Jackson
Come to Me Recklessly is the third book in the Closer to You series by A. L. Jackson and while it will work as a standalone. I recommend reading them in order. Jackson has taken us on quite the ride and I was anxious for Christopher Moore’s story. It has been obvious throughout the series that Christopher is avoiding painful issues of the heart and in Come to Me, his past meets his present. The tale was emotional, heartwarming and bittersweet. Despite a personal hurdle for me, I enjoyed Come to Me Recklessly and all of its feels.
