Burn Bright by Patricia Briggs

While I adore Mercy Thompson, the Alpha & Omega series is my favorite series by Briggs. Burn Bright by Patricia Briggs is the fifth book in the Alpha & Omega series and take place in the same world as the Mercy Thompson series.  Burn Bright packed a wallop and kept me on edge. I lost myself in the story and devoured it in one sitting.

Zero Day A Novel by Ezekiel Boone

Zero Day by Ezekiel Boone is the final book in the Hatching series. The series has taken us through an apocalyptic disaster involving spiders. Told from multiple perspectives from around the world, we get the third-person POV accounts of man’s reactions and attempts to survive. While we didn’t get as much time with the eight-legged monsters, Boone delivered an intense climax.

I loved Tiffany Reisz’s Bourbon Theif, The Night Mark, and The Lucky Ones but despite owning the first two Original Sinners novels, I had not yet delved into her erotic fiction, so when the opportunity to review The Red on audio presented itself, I decided to explore her sensual worlds.  The story that unfolded was pure, dark erotic fantasy and offered a rather interesting twist.

Murder’s a Witch by Danielle Garrett is the first book in the cozy paranormal mystery series Beechwood Harbor Magic Mysteries. I was in the mood for something witchy, and this looked fun. Narrated by Amanda Ronconi, Garrett delivered an interesting, fun and entertaining murder-mystery featuring a halfway house for displaced paranormals.
