In Ollie’s Haffiness written by Riya Aarini and illustrated by Virvalle Carvallo, Ollie loses his second tooth and wakes up to find the tooth fairy has left him a chameleon. While reading this to my granddaughter, I must admit I cringed. The tooth fairy left this pet, and I saw her eyes light up and seize upon this tidbit.
Tooth fairy expectations aside, Ollie who now has a lisp names his pet Haffiness, because it makes him happy. The tale is cute and when Haffiness goes missing we help Ollie hunt high and low for his pet.
Within each picture, we can see Haffiness blending in to his surroundings. Both Royals were excited to find and point him out.
The story delivers a happy ending while teaching lessons from pet care to searching.
Both Royals delighted in this tale and Sophia asked if there were more Ollie books- so a definite win. My only warning would be the tooth fairy expectations.

This sounds really sweet though I would have definitely cringed at the toothfairy leaving a pet part too!
