When a choice is made, it will forever alter the course of our destiny. It cannot be undone, for fate is a river changing direction and carving away the bed of our hearts like everlasting fractures.
A difficult past has left Silver broken, but she is learning to trust again through Logan Cross, a Chitah who has convinced her that a dangerous man can change. Their conviction for each other will be put to the ultimate test when an old nemesis reappears and flips her world upside down. Will Logan be able to tame the animal within, or will he succumb to his impulsive nature?
The ongoing investigation into Breed experiments unveils a shocking secret about Silver’s past. Standing at a fork in the road, Silver is forced to make a decision. Each comes with consequence, and there is no turning back.
Gravity by Dannika Dark is the fourth book in the Mageri urban fantasy series. Once again I choose to listen to the narrations of Nichole Pool. Intense, frustrating, beautiful, heartbreaking and downright addictive I listened to Gravity at every opportunity.
Because this storyline follows the protagonist Silver, a recently turned Mage who is so much more, you will need to read/listen to this series in order of release.
After the events of the previous books, Silver and Logan’s relationship has continued to strengthen but a dark nemesis is back and this time he is threatening Silver with the one thing she is unable to lose. The events that unfold are dark, twisted and at times heartbreaking. Dark set an addictive pace, with twists and turns that left plans to outwit the villain in tatters. Of course, Silver tires to handle all of this on her own and it frustrated me. I hate manipulators and our villain thrives on it. Whether you listen or read Gravity have truffles and wine on hand before starting. This story takes readers on an emotional ride. Seriously, I giggled one moment and was wiping tears the next. Wowie!
Dark continues to develop Silver and offers fans tidbits from Silver’s past and new information about her genetic makeup. It changes things a little and I am very curious to see how this all plays out. We have further development of the overall arc including the Breed experiments.
Justus has an intriguing thread with Silver’s healer Page that left me both happy and sad. I loved the transformation we see in him and want to see him happy. Sunny, Knox, Levi, and Adam are present. I appreciated the page time even if parts ripped me apart. Christian, Silver’s vampire guard has a lot of page time in this story making mama very happy. I absolutely adore him and love that Dark has placed him in her new Crossbreed series.
As I have stated before Dannika Dark’s stories are addictive and Nicole Poole is her dealer. Together they are magic and I highly recommend grabbing these on audio. Gravity wrapped up nicely, but ongoing threads and threats have me diving into Shine the last book in the series.
Whether you choose to listen or read to GRAVITY be sure to have truffles & wine on hand Share on X

I started book 1, Sterling today on audio. I’ve listened to all the other books by Dark so figured it was time to go back to this series while I wait for new releases.

Just started Impulse yesterday and am loving this series the more I get into it. My opinion of the narration is improving too after Twist. I think I had book one syndrome with this one but am so glad I picked up the second one! I’m excited to know it continues to be awesome at book 4!

I really want to try one of Dannika Dark’s series, but just can’t decide between The Mageri or The Crossbreed – both of them sound so good (and likely addicting)!

This series has so many fun characters. I’ve really enjoyed revisiting this series through your reviews. I’ve got to start either the Seven series or the Keystone series, like ASAP.

This book undid me. It’s the only one of hers that I’ve only read once and listened to once. It was so intense. I am so happy that you continue to love this series. I am sure you have already read Shine and I can’t wait to read your thoughts.

Ailyn Koay
is the series a progressional one? Or I can just simply dive into one and hope for the best?
Kimberly
As I stated, it follows Silver from her transformation to training. So no, I do not recommend diving in. There are 5 full-length novels in this series and a couple bonus novellas for secondary characters.
Nadene
