Today I am back with the next two novellas in the Widow’s Island series by Melinda Leigh and Kendra Elliot. While each book contains a murder-mystery case, the romantic arc and overall cold case is best read in order of the novellas release dates. Grab a cup of coffee and check out my reviews.

Taken by Rebecca Zanetti
I really enjoyed Hidden, book one in the Deep Ops series featuring an off the grid misfit crew of FBI Agents and their pets, so picking up the novella Taken was an easy decision. Suspense, humor and a second chance romance await you.
Spring Thaw by Lauren Carr
Spring Thaw is part of an anthology of short whodunits by Lauren Carr, but for this post I am only reviewing the Chris Matheson Cold Case Mystery, Spring Thaw. A clever whodunit regarding the death of a clergy.
Beneath the Sugar Sky By Seanan McGuire
Narrated by Michelle Dockrey, Beneath the Sugar Sky By Seanan McGuire is the third novella in the Wayward Children fantasy series.
Kingdom of Needle and Bone by Mira Grant
Kingdom of Needle and Bone by Mira Grant offered a relevant, thought-provoking tale with bone-chilling realism. Despite being a novella, the tale was rich with detail and held me captive. Ms. Grant I need more….
Diamond Fire by Ilona Andrews
Diamond Fire by Ilona Andrews is a novella in their Hidden Legacy series and while I can’t hide my disappointment that this was only a novella I will tell you this was amazing! Despite the page count the Andrews delivered a full story filled with a mystery, snark and glimmers of what is to come as Rogan takes Nevada home to meet Momma.
