Ashes and Bone is the third book in the Delta Crossroads trilogy by Stacy Green. These romantic suspense stories all take place in the quaint southern town of Roselea, Mississippi. I have come to care for the characters in this town and quickly settled in to the story. Mini review: A great tie in to the overall story arc, with intense action and interesting suspects.
Seducing Charlotte by Diana Quincy
Seducing Charlotte is the first book in the Accidental Peers by Diana Quincy. If you remember I reviewed and loved Tempting Bella #2 and Compromising Willa #3. Even though this is book one, it takes place after book three but before book two. Confused? No need to worry, each works deliciously as a standalone. Mini review: romantic, suspenseful, wicked banter and a strong heroine made this tale delightful.
Waking the Dead by Heather Graham
Waking the Dead is the second book in the Cafferty and Quinn mysteries by Heather Graham. We meet this duo in the first book, Let the Dead Sleep and I was excited to team up with them again. Set in New Orleans former police detective Michael Quinn and gifted shop owner Danielle Cafferty must uncover clues and protect the city from evil. Mini review: a thrilling mystery with a motley crew that drew me in and held me captive.
Chasing the Green Fairy by Melanie Karsak
Chasing the Green Fairy is the second installment in Melanie Karsak’s Airship Racing Chronicles and what an emotional journey it was. From sabotaged airships, death, secret realms and decisions Karsak completely drew me in. Mini review: personal demons, heartbreak, beautiful, sweet and engaging.
Spirited by Mary Behre
I love romantic suspense, and when you mix in a little paranormal woo-woo, this girl gets excited. Spirited is the first novel in the Tidewater series by new to me author Mary Behre. Spirited delivered a murder mystery with likable characters and ghostly communications. Mini review: an exciting start to the series, with murder, romance and a little heat.
