When you need an Ilona Andrews fix and find an old novella on your Kindle! Somehow I bought Origins in 2016, in fact on its release date and then forgot about it. This was a fast-paced off planet tale that left me craving more.
I am sucker for libraries, and if you make it magical, I am all over it. This is how I ended up grabbing Lost Library by Kate Baray. Lycan, spelled books, and a lost library pulled me into this tale that has us jetting around the world.
I am trying to read free books I download for my Kindle. (I know crazy concept right?) Marigolds and Murder by London Lovett is the first in the Port Danby cozy-mystery series. Our protagonist is opening a flower shop in the small coastal town of Port Danby and I loved Lacey ‘Pink’ Pinkerton and her unusual pet Kingston and tabby named Nevermore.
I am continuing my journey with the Dresden Files and recently devoured Summer Knight by Jim Butcher, narrated by James Marsters. Fairies, pizza and the courts of Summer and Winter made for an engaging listen.
Grave Peril by Jim Butcher is the third novel in the Harry Dresden file and once again I listened to the narration provided by James Marsters. In this third book the stars seem to align and I know this series and I are about to embark and a beautiful friendship.
