Bitter Spirits by Jenn Bennett

Bitter Sweet is the first book in Jenn Bennett’s new Roaring Twenties series, and I enjoyed it from the setting to the characters. This paranormal romance had elements of ghosts, a necromancer and a hot romance with colorful characters. Mini review: suspenseful, heated, and complicated. The paranormal elements and 1920’s setting of San Francisco held me spellbound.

Compromising Willa by Diana Quincy

Diana Quincy is quickly becoming one of my favorite Regency romance authors, with her head-strong, feisty heroines and swoon-worthy men. In Compromising Willa, the third book in the Accidental Peers series she gives us witty banter and a woman almost on the shelf who suddenly finds herself the center of attention. Mini review: suspenseful and romantic with delicious banter.

From corporate offices to romantic inns I was swept up in this love affair. Mini review: Strong, likeable characters, sizzling romance and growth made this a memorable tale.

Darkest Day by Emi Gayle

Darkest Day is the last book in the Nineteenth Year Trilogy. Emi Gayle moves us towards the moment when Mac Thorne a changeling must choose her permanent supernatural form and takes her place on the Council. I was worried about how I was going to get my HEA or if there would even be one. Ms. Gayle wrapped this trilogy up and left me with a smile. Mini review: twists, turns and trials, and a side of romance made this exciting ending.

Ruined by Jus Accardo

Last year I read and enjoyed Darker Days by Jus Accardo, and I was anxious to try Ruined her New Adult Paranormal. It is the first book in the Eternal Balance series featuring demons. This was darker than her young-adult book and once again I walked away impressed by Accardo. Mini review: Action-packed plot with twists and turns. Combined with a heated romance that kept me engaged.
