I have had Wild Ones by M. Leighton on my nook since, well forever. I watched it go to the top of the charts, saw Penguin pick it up, republish it and then I got an ARC of book two, and it was just the kick I needed to read it. Dang..why did I wait so long. *sigh* I have read previous books by Leighton and adored them. Isn’t it weird how some books just sit in our pile, even though we know they will be good?
I am not going to lie, I saw the synopsis and jumped at that chance to read Cider Brook by Carla Neggers, before realizing I was stepping into book three of the Swift River Valley series. I mean can you blame me, look at that synopsis. Firefighter. Treasure hunter. Rescuer. While this can be read as a standalone, I think I would have enjoyed this more from the beginning. What a Woman Wants is the first novel in the Manley Maids series by Judi Fennell and when I read the synopsis I immediately wanted to read it. Three brothers dressed as maids? At the mercy of their sister? Count me in! Fennell made me laugh, swoon and giggle as we watched Sean Manley become the hunky maid at the Martinson estate. Mini review: Sweet, suspenseful, hot and humorous from a crazy animal herd to change in plans this tale was delightful.
Crave is the first novel in the Billionaire Bachelors Club series by Monica Murphy, and it offered up a delightful romance, an interesting bet and some swoon-worthy men. While the tale delivers familiar tropes, it was filled with wicked banter and heat that left me smiling. Mini review: Romantic, sweet and downright sexy, Crave delivered the perfect afternoon escape.
