Her Unexpected Hero by Melody Anne the first in her Unexpected Heroes was a delightful surprise. Heat, secrets, and small-town charm made this contemporary romance a pleasure to read.
Melody Anne is a new to me author, and this series is a spin-off to her wildly successful Billionaire books. Don’t let that stop you from diving right in as I found myself perfectly at home.
Falling for Jillian by Kristen Proby
Falling for Jillian by Kristen Proby is the third book in her Love Under the Big Sky series. I am happy to report that this heated contemporary works as a standalone. Falling for Jillian set in breathtakingly beautiful Montana had so many elements I enjoy; military men, small-town charm and a second chance romance. I chose to listen to this on audio and oh my..it was quite the experience.
This Heart of Mine by Brenda Novak
This Heart of Mine by Brenda Novak is the eighth book in her Whiskey Creek series. I love small-town romances and I have always wanted to try one her novels. I was delighted that this worked as a standalone and was even more excited to meet Phoenix Fuller. An unusual heroine and a second chance romance gave me all the feels.
Return to Me by Kelly Moran
Return to Me is the first in the Covington Cove series by new to me author Kelly Moran. I loved the simple cover and when I read the synopsis, I knew I had to read this. With its second chance romance, military man and coastal setting all I could say was, “Heck yes, gimmie!” A slow burning romance, broken hearts and a shared past gave Return to Me all the feels allowing me to become lost in Cole and Mia’s story.
Brash by Laura Wright
Brash is the third novel in the Cavanaugh Brothers series by Laura Wright. The stories are set in Texas featuring delicious and complicated brothers. Wrapped in this contemporary is an old murder mystery involving their sister and I recommend reading them in order. Brash was a personal favorite for me featuring the yummy UFC fighter, Cole Cavanaugh.
