It isn’t often that I enjoy all of the stories in an anthology, but Holiday Kisses delivers. The novel contains four contemporary romances surrounding the holiday season. This is the first time I have ever given a 5 coffee cup review to a collection of works. Each story could stand on its own, and I would gladly read the full length version.
Bring Me Home for Christmas by Robyn Carr
As with any of Robyn Carr’s books I pre-ordered Bring Me Home for Christmas. The Virgin River series is one of my all time favorites. I have a fondness for it that can best be described as, “that warm fuzzy feeling you get when you slip into your favorite comfy jeans and snuggle up to the one you love on a cold lazy Sunday afternoon.” If Virgin Rivers was a real place, I would move there. The scenic beauty and the caring families who reside here have found a little slice of heaven on Earth.
Shadow in Serenity by Terri Blackstock
Shadow in Serenity by Terri Blackstock is a faith based novel set in Serenity, Texas. This was a heart-warming novel about faith, love, second chances and the spirit of one small town. I enjoyed the characters Blackstock created and the wonderful tale she tells.
Here Comes Trouble by Erin Kern
Here Comes Trouble is the second book in Erin Kern’s Trouble series. Each book can be read as a standalone. This novel is a contemporary romance set in Wyoming. The novel does have some editing issues, but not enough to deter from the overall reading experience.
The Next Always by Nora Roberts
The Next Always by bestselling author Nora Roberts is the first novel in a brand new trilogy. I have been reading Roberts’s books since I was a teen and have come to love her characters, romances and writing style. This enchanting tale has romance, suspense and a ghost.
