I am enjoying Hailey Edwards Beginner’s Guide to Necromancy, and tried her Foundling series Bayou Born is the first book in the series and devoured this darker story filled with mythology, an intense mystery and interesting protagonist.
The Serpent by Sarah Fine, narrated by Carly Robins proved to be an intriguing start to the Immortal Dealers series. Come check out why I recommend you grab you earbuds and give this urban fantasy a listen.
The Girl in the Green Silk Gown is the second novel in the Ghost Roads series by Seanan McGuire. Once again we are back with Rose Marshall, the phantom hitchhiker who lives in the twilight. Fans of urban legends, ghosts and the world between, will want to sink their teeth into this.
Getting Wilde by Jenn Stark introduces us to snarky, tarot card reader and magical-artifacts hunter Sara Wilde. Wilde is a character with potential and a good heart. I am still tentative about the series. Come find out why.
Fool Moon by Jim Butcher is the second novel in the Dresden Files and once again I chose to listen to the narrations of James Marsters. Butcher combines magic, supernatural elements, and a murder mystery as our Wizard tries to save lives and stay out of jail.
