Tricks for Free by Seanan McGuire
I finally caught up on the InCryptid series, but the release of Tricks for Free by Seanan McGuire fell during Take Control, so I had to wait until April to enjoy it. McGuire has created a unique urban fantasy surrounding the Price family and this time we are with Antimony Price who is on the run from the Covenant of St. George and hiding at a theme park in sunny Florida.
Lock ‘N’ Load by Tee O’Fallon
I found myself in the mood for a romantic suspense, and as luck would have it, Lock ‘N’ Load by Tee O’Fallon popped up in my Inbox. The first in the Federal K-9 series featuring agents and their K-9’s O’Fallon provided a heartwarming, sexy, must-read romance with a suspenseful storyline.
Aftermath by Kelley Armstrong
The subject matter of Aftermath is upsetting but I received a copy in the mail and decided to try it. I am really glad that I did. While relevant, it takes a look at the families affected by school shooting and shares the friendship between a shooter’s sister and the brother of a victim. Armstrong added a suspenseful thread and sweet romance to the story making it a worthy read.
Storm Front by Jim Butcher
Storm Front written by Jim Butcher and narrated by James Marsters introduced the world and the wizard, Harry Dresden, as he solved a murder mystery that everyone thinks he committed.
