I love a good paranormal romance and when you mix in some weres, shifters, demons and vampires I am a happy little reader. Author Jessie Lane asked me to review her novel Big Bad Bite and I am delighted that I did. While it wasn’t perfect, I enjoyed many elements and literally consumed this in a few hours.

Let the Dead Sleep by Heather Graham

Let the Dead Sleep is the first in the Cafferty and Quinn series by Heather Graham and I was excited to get a chance to review it for you. I love mystery and suspense wrapped in a little paranormal woo-woo with a side dish of romance and Graham serves up a perfect dish every time. The setting is one of my favorites; New Orleans and I quickly consumed this.

Going Vintage by Lindsey Leavitt

When I saw the cover and read the synopsis for Going VintageI knew I had to read it. This is a young adult contemporary about a teenage girl who tries to live exactly as her grandmother did in 1962 during her junior year of high school. She sets up a list of goals and ditches her cell phone and computer. This was sweet, had depth, humor and a cute guy or two.

The Blue-Ribbon Jalapeno Society Jubilee by Carolyn Brown

Carolyn Brown is most known for her contemporary western romances and I was excited to try The Blue-Ribbon Jalapeno Society Jubilee her first venture into woman’s fiction. Brown delivered a humorous tale about four women living in Cadillac, Texas. This was a quick, quirky and enjoyable character driven tale about life in a small town renowned for growing the hottest jalapeños.
