Mother Nature continues to annoy us, but yesterday we had a non-traditional Easter. We had an Easter Egg hunt in the backyard for the Royals and Littlest Princess, then grilled steak, which we served with broccoli, green beans and twice-baked potatoes. We threw some french fries in the air fryer for the little ones. I continue to be woefully behind with the blog, and my reading/listening is down. It is becoming the new norm, but I’ve been blogging for almost eleven years, so I am going with the flow. Elbow hugs! Stay Caffeinated.

I really need to use my air fryer more. I’ve only used a few times so not enough to really figure out the ins and outs of it but I’ve heard it is the perfect way to reheat food and cook all kinds of different things. I hope you have a wonderful week!
Kimberly
I make blackened Chicken breast all the time. You can make homemade jimca or sweet potato fries too.
vidya
i seem to keep playing catch up with blogging every few weeks as well. glad you had a wonderful festive day with family..
Ethan
It sounds like you had a nice holiday in spite of mother nature! I’ve been in a bit of a slump on the blog recently too. Ten years in and I’ve learned to be more forgiving of myself. I’m reading a ton, but not as eager to write reviews. As with all things, I’m sure this will pass soon!
Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard
The weather here has been alternately sunny and raining, but at least it has stayed more-or-less in the “spring” zone this week. I’m glad you had a good Easter, and I’m sure the kids enjoyed the egg hunt!
Lorna
Glad you had a good Easter! Mine was non traditional too-cheeseburger from Wendy’s. Oral surgery today so I wanted something good because it will be awhile. Not great. In the chair while I write this getting numb. Fun times.

I’m glad you’ve been blogging long enough to have a great attitude when blogging and reading slow down!
Melliane
Happy Easter and happy reading!
Harvee
I see you are reading a few rom coms, my new reading interest too. I still read psych thrillers but the romance comedies are a good break.
S. J. Pajonas
Happy Easter! I hope the day went smoothly!!
Tanya @ Girl Plus Books
I like your non-traditional menu, Kimberly! 🙂 I went totally traditional at the request of my mother but I much rather would have had steak and potatoes. LOL
Carla
Happy Easter Kim. We also had a early Christmas, we did ours on Friday and it rained so our egg hunt was inside. I know as the weather gets warmer, my reading will go down. Life changes our habits. Stay safe and have a wonderful week.
Sophia Rose
Sounds like you had a fun non-traditional easter meal. 🙂
Happy Easter and have a great week, Kimberly!
Jinjer
Your non-traditional Easter sounds perfect and delicious!

Blogging has been slow for me too this week Kimberly! But hey, you had fun with the grand kids so that’s a plus! Happy Sunday!
Mary Kirkland
Happy Easter. I hope the Easter bunny brought you some goodies.

Happy Easter! Thanks for sharing In the Pines; I had to go right over to Netgalley and get it. Enjoy those Royals while you have them before they are off to school.
Maya @HerBookishDesires
Wow that food sounds amazing! It is making me hungry. And I just ate 😂 Happy Easter to you and yours!
Natalie @Natflix&Books
Sounds like a nice holiday! I’ve been pretty down to this single post on the weekends for a few years now. It’s all I have time for, and I honestly feel fine about it. Happy reading!
Victoria A Hamel
Your Easter Dinner sounds delish. It’s sunny but cold her today so indoor easter egg hunt for the big kids! ( i put $ in the eggs)
LORI CASWELL
Yes, the weather sucks but don’t beat yourself up about reading and blogging, you will get your groove back.
Happy Easter!!

Happy Easter! It sounds like you have been enjoying your weekend there. I can feel you on the norm, it’s good that you are just going with it. Blogging changes over time in our processes and its good to change with it sometimes. I hope you find a steady pace that works for you.
Happy Reading!

Yeah, we are getting rain today. The weather people on the tv suggested people do indoor egg hunts or do them yesterday. Have a great week!
Wendy
That sounds like my kind of Easter celebration. Yummy! I hope you have a great week, Kimberly
Michelle@Because Reading
We have done a non-traditional easter this year. We celebrated last week and the kids got their baskets yesterday since my husband has to work today. It’s been a weird couple of years.
It’s been almost a full year that i have really blogged. I do absolutely love it, I know life happens and I am ok with that. It’s why I like having a co-blogger, make the blog flow better, plus she is a faster reader than me.
Have a great week, Kim! Happy Reading!

I am a Women’s Fiction author and it is very difficult to get reviews and visibility. Getting book reviews from bloggers is more and more difficult these days. usbookreviews.com helped me get initial reviews and visibility.
Jodie
I hope you have a wonderful Easter! Thanks for hosting!
Jessica @ a GREAT read
Glad you had a nice Easter gathering yesterday! That sounds like fun! We’re having ours today with all the traditional things going on. My parents and I dyed eggs late last night as we realized we didn’t do them earlier in the week. So they were done just before it was officially Easter around 9pm last night! Lol.
Nice new reads! Those are new to me ones but I hope you enjoy them! Happy Easter!

We had some beautiful spring weather here lately. Sounds like you all had a fun Easter. And going with the flow when it comes to your blog sounds like a good idea. I hope you have a great week!

Ma Nature is very annoying right now. >:( And I also continue to be behind on the blog and reading. But it is what it is. We’re so busy I just can’t seem to find a balance. I’m going to work on it, but I may have to admit that things are just going to be busy as we try to do projects that should have been started when we moved in here 21 yrs ago. LOL
I picked up Pryor & Cummings last week. It sounds like it will be a good one.
Emily @Budget Tales Book Blog
Happy Easter! We did an Easter Egg Hunt this morning. My son is 3 so it took a bit of explaining 😂 it is lovely and warm and sunny so he didn’t want to leave the garden to have his hot cross bun!
Have a great weekend!

Sorry that the weather is still misbehaving – it’s difficult to keep up energy levels when the temperature is swinging all over the place. Your Easter celebration with the grandchildren sounds a delight. And I hope that your new normal regarding reading isn’t fraying too much at your sense of rightness. Have a good week, Kimberly:).
Vi @Inkvotary
Sounds like some fun. Seems to go around with being “behind blogging, writing reviews etc.” Have a wonderful long weekend and happy reading.
Mareli @ Elza Reads
I think Easter is a lovely time for the little ones and the blog can wait while you enjoy your grandchildren! There will always be new books. Or at least I hope so!
Happy Easter Kimberly!
Mia @ Genre Books and Me
Kim, if you’ve been blogging for 11 years at a fast pace, it’s your right to slow down and smell the (coffee). You have littles to spend time with and I know how quickly they grow up. I appreciate what a great site you have here, so much to read and take in.
Hope this Easter Sunday brings you a quiet day at home. I read Kendra Elliot also.
Kimberly
Thanks Mia. Yep, if I only post 3-4 times a week I am going to be ok with it. They will all be in school before I know it.
Louise Hallett
Happy Easter, mine are too old for Egg Hunts but at least the weather is being kind so we have some lovely sunshine to enjoy. Have a good week.
Greg
Happy Easter! We had steak today too since we were out and about- your meal sounds yummy. The Easter egg hunt sounds fun too. 🙂
I can relate to the reading and blogging less- I’ve been the same way lately.
Have a great holiday and rest of the weekend!

Happy Easter!

Sounds like a great Easter celebration to me.
Sorry to hear about your slump, but it sounds like you have the right attitude about it. I would be stressed to the max. I figured I’m either fully in, or I’m out.

Your Easter dinner sounds wonderful! I hope you enjoy the weekend and the books on your shelves. Thanks for sharing.

Sounds like a fun non traditional Easter. We are having a little Easter egg hunt for our daughter. It will be her first and I’m really excited.
Have a great week and happy reading.
