When sparks and curses fly, more than just high-profile weddings are thrown into danger.
Every wedding-planning witch worth her wand knows that the dress must be an Aurelia custom creation. The magical fashion designer to the who's who of the Seattle Haven is in high demand with a waiting list that would make most wedding planner's eyes water.
Luckily for her clients, witch wedding-planner extraordinaire Anastasia Winters has inside access to the famed fashion designer and a knack for making deals. However, on an after-hours errand to pick up a dress, Anastasia finds herself walking into a battleground. When the dust settles, Aurelia is locked in the grips of a powerful - and seemingly unbreakable - curse, and Anastasia is the only one who witnessed the vicious magical attack.
When she starts having visions and nightmares, she knows she has to act soon or risk losing her friend and haven fashion icon, forever
Couture and Curses is the second audiobook in Danielle Garrett’s A Touch of Magic mysteries series feature wedding planning Anastasia Winters. The stories take place in Seattle Haven and I am loving this new paranormal mystery series set in the world Garrett has created.
This story picks up after the events of book one, and Anastasia and local detective Caleb are still dating. They’ve settled into a routine involving movie nights and takeout. When Anastasia is almost hurt and the top wedding designer in all of Haven ends up in a coma, Caleb and the force investigate but so does Anastasia!
This was fast-paced with a creepy paranormal edge that I enjoyed. I loved the characters and how her career factors in to these cases. Who knew weddings were so dangerous!
Amanda Ronconi has become the voice of these characters and is perfectly paired with Garrett’s series.
A fun mystery with twists, jewels, sisterly squabbles and high fashion. Heck, there might even be some smooching.

A drop of poison is all it takes to bring the biggest wedding of the season to its knees.
Anastasia Winters adheres to the adage that the show must go on, but when the groom of her latest wedding drops dead before “I do,” she’s left with no backup plan.
Things get even stickier when her friend and esteemed caterer, Francois, is named the top suspect.
Ana's loyalties are tested as the investigation turns into a vicious tug-of-war. She believes Francois is innocent, but holding the other side of the rope is the lead detective--her serious boyfriend--and the more she struggles, the more her own chance at happily ever after starts to unravel.
It’s up to Anastasia to find the killer, while gripping tightly to her relationships before they break and leave her with nothing.
Wedding Bells and Deadly Spells is the third audiobook in Danielle Garrett’s A Touch of Magic mysteries series and picks up about 6 months later with Anastasia Winters walking through a dress rehearsal on her largest wedding yet.
The couple, particularly the groom, have been a nightmare, and she has even planned a post wedding celebratory dinner to mark its end. Impossible demands, all take the back seat when the groom dies at the altar and her friend is her boyfriend’s number one suspect.
Oh my, this was such an exciting installment. While these audiobooks may only be four hours long, Garrett sure packs a punch. We see development with key characters, relationships and get an interesting murder-mystery to solve.
Fans of Garrett will be delighted to see Holly, a potions master from Beechwood. I think this series and book are my favorite of Garrett’s. I cannot wait for more!
Amanda Ronconi did an excellent job with the narration, building on the suspense and capturing the characters’ emotions.

I wouldn’t really want an expensive dress if there’s a curse on it… getting married is curse enough sometimes
