From #1 NYT bestselling author Lauren Blakely comes a sexy new standalone romance!
The first time I met him, his sexy British accent almost talked me into giving him my number on the spot. The second time, he nearly charmed the panties off me with his wit. Then I learned he's the key to success in my new job in Paris. The man who tempts me into fling-worthy dirty daydreams has turned out to be my personal translator, and his accent is the hottest thing I've ever heard.
My mantra is simple -- Don't mix business with pleasure. I do my best to resist him as he teaches me how to converse with my co-workers, navigate the metro and order the perfect bottle of wine at dinner. But I also figure out how to tell the charming and clever man what I most want to say -- that I want him to take me back to his flat -- tonight.
Except there's a catch...***
One more assignment before I take off on my big adventure...And it involves the toughest work ever -- resisting the fetching American woman I spend all my days with. But you know what they say about best intentions. Soon, we're spending our nights tangled together, and I don’t want to let her go. The trouble is, my wanderlust is calling to me, and before we know it I'll be traveling the globe to fulfill a promise I made long ago.
What could possibly go wrong with falling in love in Paris? Nothing...unless one of you is leaving.
Chocolate, French pastries, language and the city of love… Wanderlust by Lauren Blakely was a decedent contemporary romance filled with character growth, friendship, and love.
Joy is newly arrived in Paris and works as a perfume developer. She is excited to be in the city and embarking on a new, wonderous chapter of her life. Griffin has one bag packed and is ready to move on to the next adventure, as soon as he finishes this last contract. Griffin is a translator who is working through the grief of losing his brother.
The two meet in a pastry shop, and there is an instant connection but a phone call intercepts their conversation. As fate would have it, the two meet again at a coffee shop; only they soon discover he will be her translator. Despite sparks, they agree to keep it professional as he helps her navigate securing her flat, the city and performing duties with her new employer.
A friendship develops between them but when Joy asks Griffin to help her learn the language and experience the city an innocent flirtation leads to delicious kisses. I adored Wanderlust. It was refreshing to see Blakely write a straight contemporary that pulled at my heartstrings and made me want to pack my bags and fly to Paris.
Because Griffin is set to leave, the romance has a time limit, and it made their developing romance bittersweet. Griffin’s story and bucket list regarding his brother tugged at my heartstrings, as did the story of Joy’s last relationship. I loved watching them confide in each other, build trust and develop a meaningful relationship beyond a sexual nature.
If you are a “foodie,” I swear some of the chocolate, smells, and croissants discussed will leave you drooling. Make sure you have plenty of emergency chocolate on hand.
Blakley brought the city of Paris to life from its cobbled streets to unique discoveries and gave us a beautiful romantic story.
The story narrated by Grace Grant and Richard Armitage was delightful on audio. Do you love a man with an accent? Prepare to swoon. This pair was perfect for Joy and Griffin’s dual narrations. From Joy’s description of smells to Griffin’s sexy thoughts their voices, tone, and pacing made listening pleasurable.
If you are looking for a romance between two people discovering themselves and each other, you’ll want to grab your earbuds and devour Wanderlust. Blakley delivered a sweet, memorable romance that will have many booking a flight to Paris.

I need to get something by her I miss listening to her rom-coms they’re so fun. I do miss seeing Sebastian York on the narrator list though. Thanks Kim
Kimberly
York is wonderful but I think you will enjoy Richard Armitage.

Kimberly
She always ends up making me smile.

I’m looking forward to listening to this one. I’m waiting until I’m caught up on my library audiobooks then I’m rejoining the Audible Romance membership so I can listen to this title and few more next month.
Kimberly
That is nice you can cancel and rejoin anytime. Right now I am on a UF and Paranormal kick.
Stefanie
Ooh, this sounds like a fun one, especially in audio. I have never listened to a romance on audio b/c my kids are usually home and my husband would be like, WTH are you listening to?
Kimberly
True story. I was home alone, listening to a romance on audio while cleaning. My adult son came home and was like, ” OMG what is this porn for the blind?” I now use wireless headphones..hehe. We don’t talk about it.

When I was younger Paris was a fantasy trip of mine. Never been there, but now Caribbean beaches call to me.
Kimberly
I am with you, the beaches call me.

I’ve had this one for awhile now from the romance package on Audible. To be honest, I’d forgotten what it was about. Sounds really good though it will be different listening to one of hers Not narrated partially by Sebastian York. I follow the author on IG and she posted pictures of her Paris trip awhile back. Made me want to go even if I don’t fly!
Kimberly
Yes, I saw those and wanted to travel 🙂
Lily
ha… this reminds me a lot of Laura Florand inspired writing, wonder if she was her inspiration for this.
Kimberly
I know she traveled to Paris to research the story 🙂

Richard Armitage definitely makes me want to listen to this one. I sometimes struggle getting on board with romances where either the hero or heroine is set to move/go off on adventures, so I’m a little nervous. But it sounds likes this was pretty amazing.
Kimberly
No worries, he just wasn’t looking for love and was on a bit of a sojourn
Mary Kirkland
This sounds pretty good.
Kimberly
It really was. Something a little different 🙂
