Ivy believes that every life must have balance, and during the past year, she's found harmony living with the Weston pack. When an evil spirit from her past threatens her wolf, it sets off a chain reaction of events that alters the course of her destiny. Lorenzo Church is a powerful, wealthy Packmaster who rules his pack through intimidation and order. He has vowed to never love a woman because love can destroy an empire. But chaos is fast approaching in the form of a Shifter named Ivy-a Native American, like him, who has invaded his dreams since the moment they met. She is spirited, wise, and unattainable.
FOUR DAYS by Dannika Dark is the fourth book in the Seven paranormal romance series and features Ivy and Lorenzo. Dark surprised me with suspense and a heart-breaking story that had me listening into the wee hours while swooning for an alpha I was determined not to like.
Coffee Dates with Four Days
First Date: Lorenzo “Enzo” Church is the rival pack leader in town. He has wealth, strength and is unapologetic about his actions. While I admired his protectiveness, I didn’t have any warm and fuzzy feelings about the man. Ivy belongs to the Weston pack. Both are of Native American descent and find themselves attracted to each other, but Ivy doesn’t think she could fall for a leader such as Enzo. Dark introduces a dangerous element that soon has the Weston Pack and Church pack seeing a lot more of each other than either leader would like. I am all in and curious to see if Dark can win me over.
Second Date: First, I love Ivy. She makes no apology for who she is, yet she is soft spoken, can see the larger picture and is loyal beyond measure. She is an alpha, who accepted a lesser position and her backstory will splay open your heart. Church, is slowly getting under my skin and I am beginning to understand him. His affection for his grandmother and tenderness with Ivy had a lot to do with it. That doesn’t mean I am not considering hitting him with my shoe, but I am enjoying seeing Ivy handle him. The two are both stubborn, and I found myself laughing and enjoyed watching things unfold. The danger continues to escalate and with it comes a surprise reveal.
Third Date: We get some intense action scenes, and I loved seeing Ivy in her element. Heat, conversations and Ivy’s past fill up the final date. I cried for Ivy and loved how Dark wrapped up the thread with her past. The romance slowed as both characters searched for answers within themselves. Ivy is a strong woman, and I love that she is unwilling to settle. She laid things out plainly with Church and her pack. Will Chruch offer Ivy a chance at happy? Can he handle her past? I devoured FOUR DAYS and cannot get over how emotionally connected I have become to this couple, their packs and this series.
Once again Nichole Poole narrated, and I cannot imagine the series without her. I love when a good story is paired with an excellent narrator as it adds another level of enjoyment to my experience.
FOUR DAYS offered a heartwarming, slow-burning romance that made me laugh, shed a tear and smile.
Four Days by Dannika Dark surprised me with its depth. It tugged at my heartstrings. #audio Share on X

This is one of my favorite installments in the series because of Ivy. I love how peaceful and centered a person she is considering all she’s been through…and what she goes through in this installment. I didn’t like Lorenzo much either…he’s so stoic and it always seemed like things were black and white with him. Ivy taught him differently though, didn’t she? Gosh Kimberly, you’re kinda making me want to re-listen to this series! 😀

I kind of hated Enzo and his high-handedness (is that a word??) before I got to know him better. And even now, I’m not 100% sure of him 🙂 Ivy, though, is amazing.
