K. A. Tucker has become one of my favorite authors and her Burying Water series is among my favorites. I jumped into Chasing River without reading the synopsis and was delighted to find we were not in Oregon but Dublin! Amber Welles is traveling and it is here that her life is about to change. Filled with suspense, tender moments and a look into some of Ireland’s history Chasing River delivered all that I hoped for and more. While this is classified as NA, it has the feel of an adult novel.
Hard to Let Go by Laura Kaye
Hard to Let Go is the final full-length novel in the Hark Ink series by Laura Kaye. It was action packed as our team wraps up their investigations; Hard to Let Go delivered everything a fan would want. Beckett Murda goes head to head with feisty Katherine Rixey and the dance was delicious, sweet and filled with heat.
Exit Strategy by Lena Diaz
It has been a while since I’ve read a good romantic suspense so I decided to try Exit Strategy, the first in the EXIT INC series by new to me author Lena Diaz. Exit Strategy was action packed and hot with a strong heroine and smexy ex-military hottie. I found myself completely caught up and consumed this in a single evening.
Hard to Be Good by Laura Kaye
Hard to Be Good is a novella in the Hark Ink series by Laura Kaye while it is not necessary to follow the main story, we do see the after effects at the end of book three and get a swoony LGBT romance with plenty of heat. This story pushed me beyond my typical comfort zone. As a straight woman, I was not sure I could connect let alone enjoy an M/M romance. I should have known Kaye would deliver, and give me all the feels.
Trust No One by Jayne Ann Krentz
Jayne Ann Krentz is a go to author for me, from her paranormal to romantic suspense she delivers regardless of the name she uses. Trust No One is a standalone romantic suspense that held me spellbound, made me laugh and allowed me to settle in and lose myself within the story.
