When the opportunity to review the audio of THE DUKE AND I, by Julia Quinn came along, I jumped at the chance. The first book in the Bridgertons series, this historical romance delivered with strong characters, humor, delicious banter and swoons.
I was in the mood for a good historical romance and decided to listen to HIGHLAND SPY by Madeline Martin. The audio narrated by Dave Gillies promised female spies, assassins, and romance. From the exciting missions to the slow building romance, Martin had me hooked.
From London with Love by Diana Quincy is the third book in the Rebellious Brides series. Regretfully I have not read the first two books in the series, but thankfully each works as a standalone. This was an engaging, touching and sometimes humorous second chance romance that I devoured in two sittings.
Do You Want to Start a Scandal by Tessa Dare is the fifth novel in the Spindle Cove series and I absolutely adored our heroine Charlotte Highwood. Intrigue, passion and a swoon-worthy guarded rake can be found within the pages who could ask for anything more.
A Scot in the Dark by Sarah MacLean is the second novel in her Scandal & Scoundrel series. Filled with banter and snark McLean delivered a delicious romp.
