Breath of Fire by Amanda Bouchet is the second novel in the Kingmaker Chronicles series and was one of my most anticipated audios for 2017. Once again I was swept up in this world with its mythology, kick-ass heroine, and motley crew. While I devoured the audio, it was not without flaws and disappointments.
The Dispatcher by John Scalzi
I was fortune enough to download The Dispatcher by John Scalzi when it was free on Audible. I thoroughly enjoy the stories Scalzi creates and find I prefer them on audio. The Dispatcher narrated by Zachary Quinto was an addictive and suspenseful science fiction tale.
Betrayals by Kelley Armstrong
Betrayals by Kelley Armstrong is the fourth book in the urban fantasy Cainsville series. Betrayals brought us an intense thriller and character development as Armstrong begins to set the pieces in play for the final book(s).
Bearly in Control by Milly Taiden
I enjoy paranormal romance and shifter books. I’ve read mostly wolf books, so the premise of Bearly in Control written by Milly Taiden had me curious. The first in the Shifter Undercover series it promised mystery and heated romance. Sadly this listen fell short for me. Reviews for the title are mixed, so be sure and read other opinions.
Alone in the Dark by Karen Rose
Alone in the Dark is the second novel in the Cincinnati series and the seventeenth in the Romantic Suspense series by author Karen Rose. Alone in the Dark features a dark, suspenseful, murder mystery surrounding human trafficking and offers a side dish of romance involving Homicide Detective Scarlet Bishop. Unexpected twists and pure evil await you in this page turner.
