Deceptions by Kelley Armstrong

Deceptions by Kelley Armstrong, is the third book in her urban fantasy series Cainsville. Filled with Fae, omens and suspense I have come to love this series. It has an old mystery flair to it that reminds me of thrillers from my childhood. Deceptions suffered from middle book syndrome but had bits I thoroughly enjoyed.

Breaking the Story shares Scottie Darden’s story as she picks up the pieces of her life and sets to redefine her goals and boost her career. What she needs is a standout picture and story to gain notice. Instead she unknowingly gets much more than she bargained for. The tale that unfolded was suspenseful with a light romance and humor.

Creeptastic is the first thought that comes to mind when thinking about The Visitor, the latest novel in Amanda Stevens’ urban fantasy series the Graveyard Queen. The Visitor was impressive from the spine tingling mystery to developments in the overall ARC. Stevens sent chills down my spine as she drew me into the world of Amelia Gray.

The Warrior’s Prize by Claire Delacroix

The Warrior’s Prize by Claire Delacroix is the fourth and last book in the True Loves Brides series. Once again, I chose to listen to the audiobook narrated by the lovely Saskia Maarleveld. Her lilt is perfect for the narration and her voice just pulls me into this story. The Warrior’s Prize ended up being my favorite book in the series.
