It was with sadness that I began reading Cold Curses by Chloe Neill, as it is the last book in the Heirs of Chicagoland series. Neill delivered an action-packed, snarky, swoon-worthy and satisfactory ending.
The Price of Lemon Cake by Jennifer Ashley
I scooped this novella up as soon as it released. I enjoy the Below Stairs Mystery series and was excited to spend more time with our clever cook and her friends. The Price of Lemon Cake gives Lady Bobby Perry and Judith Townsend a chance in the spotlight when Kat asks them to investigate a young aristo. Come see why I am craving lemon cake and more Below Stairs mysteries.
The Unkindest Tide by Seanan McGuire
I am continuing to listen to the October Daye series narrated by Mary Robinette Kowal with The Unkindest Tide by Seanan McGuire. The Selkies made a deal with the sea witch and it’s time to pay their debt. Once again Toby will be tested, as will the Luidaeg.
Night and Silence Seanan McGuire
I am continuing my journey with the October Daye urban fantasy series on audio. Night and Silence by Seanan McGuire is the twelfth audiobook narrated by Mary Robinette Kowal. Toby has suffered and needs a quest, just not the one she will get.
Starter Villain by John Scalzi
Narrated by Wil Wheaton, Starter Villain by John Scalzi was pure magic, from humor to characters in this standalone science fiction fantasy. A down on his luck man inherits his estranged uncle’s supervillain business, and the world turns upside down. Unputdownable!
