Diamond Fire by Ilona Andrews is a novella in their Hidden Legacy series and while I can’t hide my disappointment that this was only a novella I will tell you this was amazing! Despite the page count the Andrews delivered a full story filled with a mystery, snark and glimmers of what is to come as Rogan takes Nevada home to meet Momma.

Reflections by Seanan McGuire

I read Indexing by Seanan McGuire previously and loved the story from the concept to the inspiration behind it. A secret agency that stops the narrative in fairytales. I somehow missed Reflections the second book and quickly scooped it up on Kindle Unlimited. Gads it was great fun to be back stopping villains with this motley crew of ATI agents!

Awakened Spells by Logan Byrne is the first in the series by the same name. Currently, there are four published books being made into audiobooks, narrated by the lovely, Nikiya Palombi. A low-end magical thief discovers she has the mark of Merlin when she joins  M.A.G.I.C., a magical police force. Not a bad start to what looks to be a fun series.
