I love holiday themed books, and this is the first I have read by Victoria Alexander, but I can assure you it will not be my last. What Happens At Christmas was a deliciously, hysterical, heart-warming tale that quickly put me in the holiday mood. I adored the characters the author brought to life in 1886 London and would love to meet them all again.
Mischief and Mistletoe
Mischief and Mistletoe is a collection of historical fiction romances set around the Yuletide season. This was a delightful collection and while I had favorites I can honestly say I enjoyed each and every tale by these talented authors.
His Christmas Pleasure by Cathy Maxwell
I am having a blast reading all of these holiday themed books and His Christmas Pleasure left a smile on my face. I saw a review from Felicia @ The Geeky Blogger’s Book Blog and thought the cover looked familiar. Sure enough this was on one of my bookshelves and I immediately began reading. It had elements I love; a feisty heroine, a rouge, an overbearing father and a marriage of convenience. I literally consumed this in a single afternoon.
His Mistress by Christmas by Victoria Alexander
As many of you know I love holiday themed tales. His Mistress by Christmas grabbed my attention with its lovely cover and teaser synopsis. Author Victoria Alexander delighted me with this tale, its colorful characters, humor and twists. I quickly consumed this and closed the book with a smile. This is the perfect Regency romance to get you in the mood for the holidays.
The Winter Wife by Anna Campbell
The Winter Wife: A Christmas Novella offers a tale of love and second chances. Anna Campbell has long wanted to do a Christmas novella and I quite enjoyed her first one. It’s the tale of an estranged couple either too proud or too stubborn to work things out and their chance encounter on a deserted Yorkshire road in the middle of a snowstorm. Maybe it was the magic of Christmas or fate that brought them together but the tale that unfolded was delightful.
