I enjoy Chuck Wendig’s brand of horror & fantasy storytelling. I knew going in this would be perfect for the spooky season and he did not disappoint. I listened to the full cast narration and will never look at an apple or apple orchard the same. Grab a cup of coffee and check out my thoughts…
The Pram by Joe Hill
The Pram by Joe Hill is the perfect short horror novel or listen to curl up with during the spooky season. It’s creepy with just a dash of gore to give you a scare. It’s available through KindleUnlimited and includes the audio. The story is part of the Creature Feature Collection and narrated by Robert Petkoff.
The Night House by Jo Nesbø
The Night House by Jo Nesbø is a grown up Goosebumps, Tales from the Crypt horror story with an 80s- 90s vibe. An unreliable narrator and unimaginable events cause fourteen-year-old Richard Elauved and his friends trouble especially when no one believes him.
Holly by Stephen King
Holly Gibney is one of my favorite Stephen King’s character. She first appeared in the Bill Hodges trilogy as Bill Hodges partner, and in The Outsider and its novella, If It Bleeds as a private detective. Grab a cuppa and see why I recommend you listen to Holly.
Hemlock Island by Kelley Armstrong
I am a huge Kelley Armstrong fan and was ecstatic when she announced she was writing a horror novel. Hemlock Island was suspenseful, scary, and addictive. Check out my review and see why this novel is perfect for the spooky season!
