Last year I listened to Winter Street by Elin Hilderbrand and loved meeting the Quinns and spending the holidays in Nantucket. What I did not like was the major cliffhanger and abrupt ending. You can just imagine how excited I was to begin Winter Stroll. While the ending was not quite as abrupt, there are still many unresolved issues and once again, I will be counting the days until I am back in Nantucket with this slightly dysfunctional, sweet and chaotic family.
See Me by Nicholas Sparks
See Me by Nicholas Sparks is a romantic suspense that is heavy on the suspense, but offers up a sweet romance with character growth for our somewhat gruff but likeable hero. Narrated by Christopher Ryan Grant See Me began slowly and had a few bumps but ultimately was a listen that kept me engaged.
The Highlander’s Curse by Claire Delacroix
The Highlander’s Curse by Claire Delacroix is the second book in the True Love Brides series, which I have been listening to on audio. Narrated by Saskia Maarleveld this historical medieval romance with its paranormal twist is enchanting. FAE, curses, danger and true loves kiss made The Highlander’s Curse a pleasurable listen.
Wolf by Wolf by Ryan Graudin
Last year I listened to and loved The Walled City by Ryan Graudin, and knew that without a doubt I would listen to Wolf by Wolf his newest release. Set in an alternate 1956 where the Third Reich and Imperial Japan rule the world. The story that unfolds in Wolf by Wolf was dark, brilliant and extraordinary.
These Shallow Graves by Jennifer Donnelly
These Shallow Graves by Jennifer Donnelly shares the coming of age story of a young 19th century girl who struggles with the restrictions of her status as she embarks on a risky journey to find the answers to her father’s death. The tale that unfolds is a suspenseful thriller with a forbidden romance. Beautiful written and narrated by Kim Bubbs I slipped right into this engaging tale.
