If you are looking for a gritty crime suspense thriller with a flawed FBI agent haunted by demons of the past and his missing sister, you’ll want to start at the beginning of this series. Each case continues the overall series arc but also gives us a twisty case for FBI agents, Strike & Frost to solve.

When prostitutes are murdered in grizzly ways, Strike & Frost are assigned to investigate. It isn’t long before they are sure they’ve got their guy, but the murders continue. Are they wrong it this twist whodunit that has them looking for assists from the local gangs, police and prostitutes?

Con continues to look for his sister, especially after the things he learns. Con’s boss still has it out for him, even as Con and Alex continue to strengthen as partners. Alex may be new to the force, but she is smart, even if she takes some risks that have Con panicking. I cannot wait to learn more.

Rick Adamson continues to narrate, and I appreciate the voices he provides for both agents and secondary characters. The story lends itself to the audio format, and listening enhanced my overall enjoyment of this fast-paced thriller.
