Trapped by a future she refuses to face...
Accused of cyber espionage by the United States government, ethical hacker Ivy Macpherson is now on the FBI's most wanted list. Out of options, she runs, desperate for time to prove her innocence. When fate takes an unexpected turn, bringing her face-to-face with Tydrin, she must decide - trust a man more dangerous than the hunters on her trail to keep her safe. Or risk capture by a covert agency, well known for ruthlessness...
Condemned by a past he doesn't want to remember...
Cursed with a terrible temper, Scottish dragon-warrior Tydrin struggles to atone for a mistake that took innocent lives. Unable to forgive himself, he returns to the scene of his crime in hopes of finding absolution, but discovers a woman in need of his help instead. Intervening in the nick of time, he whisks Ivy to safety, only to realise the daughter, of the family he wronged, is the one destined to steal his heart!
I keep stumbling unknowingly on side series or spinoffs to series, and in this case this novella trilogy is a spinoff of Dragonfury series. Thankfully, I was able to slip in and loved meeting these new characters.
This audio belongs to dragon-warrior Tydrin who struggles with a mistake he made that cost innocent lives. Now, Ivy Macpherson is a computer geek who was tricked and is now running from the law. Tydrin stumbles upon her just as the FBI is swooping in and she must decided if she’ll trust him.
Now admittedly since this is a novella, it moves fast in the romance department, but the Scottish brogue more than makes up for it. Not sure I had time to feel a connection beyond lust, but can accept the fated/mated theme popular in this genre.
The case moved swiftly as well, but I loved how the author tied Tydrin’s past to Ivy’s. As far as the series this was spun from these do indeed work as standalone. The author gave me a sense of the world, and introduced the other dragon’s whose romances will be in the next two of this trilogy. However, I have a feeling that those familiar with the Dragonfury world/series will enjoy this a tad more. I understand their are US and Scotland clans of dragons.
Fans of dragons, passion and supernatural elements will enjoy this quick escape. Felicity Munroe did a splendid job of giving voice to both the main characters and secondary ones from accents to reactions. I am glad to see she will narrate the next two.
Fury of a Highland Dragon by Coreene Callahan delivered passion, and a touch of suspense as we dip into the DragonFury world with the first audio in the #Scotland trilogy #DragonFury #ParnormalRoamnce #Dragons #FelicityMunroe… Share on XStay Caffeinated!

oh what a lovely review you have here. I have really enjoyed this world by this author, but really behind on the spin off books. Happy to see it worked for you as a novella.

I’m in the middle of a series that is only novellas too. And paranormal although I would classify it as cozy paranormal romance. They are by Melanie Karsak or her pen name. I’m the same as you though-shifter books and one true mate or insta love are okay just not in regular books. I’ve not heard of the series this was spun off of. I do enjoy dragons!

I’ve accidentally snagged spinoffs before, too. It can be a little confusing at first, but glad there was enough backstory to get you in the picture. I’ve got the original series on my wish list.

the first book is a novella? So I’m falling for the bait line hook and sinker? Can’t wait for the next one to decide for me. I’m reading old books atm

No, I think all three are novellas and standalone side stories in the world of DragonFury Series.
