If you have been following Caffeinated then you know I am a huge fan of the Others series by Anne Bishop. I own the series in all formats available (expect paperback) and must first listen to the narration performed by Alexandra Harris before rereading the hardcover edition. Obsessed? Maybe, but I love the world and characters Bishop has created. ETCHED IN BONE, the fifth novel and the last novel featuring the characters from Lakeside takes us back to the Courtyard as humans, and the others live side by side.
Silence Fallen by Patricia Briggs
Silence Fallen by Patricia Briggs is the tenth novel in the wildly popular Mercy Thompson urban fantasy series. Trouble has a way of finding Mercy and this time she ends up alone and in Europe. From the non-linear timeline to the Doctor Who comments I loved Silence Fallen.
No Rest for the Wicked by Kresley Cole
No Rest for the Wicked by Kresley Cole is the third book in the Immortals After Dark series. Once again, I chose to listen due to the fabulous narrations of Robert Petkoff.
A Hunger Like No Other by Kresley Cole
I read The Warlord Wants Forever by Kresley Cole the first book in the Immortals After Dark series in the anthology Blood Red Kiss and knew two things. First I needed more of this paranormal world, and second, it HAD to be on audio. Robert Petkoff narrates and is a personal favorite. Heat, snark, stubbornness and a whole lot of heart had me listening to A Hunger Like No Other into the wee hours.
Belle Chasse by Suzanne Johnson
Belle Chasse by Suzanne Johnson is the fifth book in the Sentinels of New Orléans where wizards and other preternatural creatures live unbeknownst to most humans, slipping back and forth between the veil. Belle Chasse delivered intense scenes, exciting developments and plenty of snark. Johnson left me drooling for the next installment.
