Wolfhunter River by Rachel Caine was one of my most anticipated audiobooks for 2018 and Caine delivered a chilling, heart pounding over the top tale that actually ended on a high note.
Sinister Summer by Colleen Gleason
The cover for Sinister Summer by Colleen Gleason spoke to me last October when it was on sale and I am delighted I grabbed it. Come to Wicks Hollow as we uncover a mystery, find romance and have high tea.
Watcher in the Woods by Kelley Armstrong
Watcher in the Woods is the fourth book set in the remote/off the grid Yukon town of Rockton where people go to hide and trouble seems to find them. Addictive and suspenseful Armstrong has me hooked on this series.
The Au Pair by Emma Rous
The Au Pair written by Emma Rous and narrated by Elizabeth Sastre & Nicola Barber offered a suspenseful domestic-noir that held me captive. I first learned about the book at Between my Lines and jumped at the chance to review the audio. Rous takes us to the New England coast in this gothic tale as a distraught young woman searches for clues about her past.
The Mortal Word by Genevieve Cogman
The Mortal Word by Genevieve Cogman is the fifth book in the Invisible Library fantasy series. From the characters to the murder-mystery I had a fantastic time diving back into these worlds. Irene Winters, Vale, and Kai are called upon to investigate a murder that take place during peace talks between the Fae and the Dragons. Grab a cuppa and see why this series is a #mustread for fans of fantasy.
