I love a good romantic suspense and when you add in a Texas Ranger, I get curious. Foster Justice is the first in Colleen Shannon’s Texas Ranger series and despite not connecting to the romance the case itself kept me flipping the pages.
The Winner Takes It All by Jennifer Dawson drew me in with its synopsis and cute cover. After requesting it, I realized this was book two in the Something New series. No worries folks this worked splendidly as a standalone. However, I feel the need to warn you; you will want to grab Take A Chance the first and will be patiently waiting for the third. Hot chemistry and a great dynamic group of friends and siblings made The Winner Takes It All a delicious afternoon delight.
All He Wants for Christmas by Lisa Plumley is the fourth book in the Kismet, Michigan series but do not let that deter you from enjoying this holiday read as it completely works as a standalone. Small-town charm, children, goldfish and a gooey romance make this a delightful holiday read.

I listened to the audio version of Sugar Rush, the first book in the Cupcake Club by Donna Kaufman and narrated by Amanda Ronconi. Sugar Rush was a fun, predictable romance with cupcakes! It was friends, or should I say former associates to lover’s romance. Sugar Rush made me laugh, with its small –town setting, banter and community.
