The Renegade’s Heart by Claire Delacroix

The Renegade’s Heart by Claire Delacroix is the first in the True Love Brides series and I was delighted to find myself back in Kinfairlie. This story involves the feisty Isabella, sister to Alexander, the Lord of Kinfairlie. This story takes place sometime after the Jewels of Kinfairlie series ended. A knight trying to escape the Fae, stolen jewels and a forbidden romance made this an intense listen.

The Angel Stone by Juliet Dark

The Fairwick Chronicles by Juliet Dark (a pseudonym for Carol Goodman) has been an absolutely delightful journey and I was both excited and sadden to begin Angel Stone the final book in this trilogy. From the setting to the supernatural creatures this has been a magical journey with fascinating creatures, and a romance that kept me on edge. The final book delivered as we saw character growth, and had questions answered. Three word review: enchanting, thrilling and filled with folklore.

Clockwork Heart by Liesel Schwarz

In February I read and enjoyed A Conspiracy of Alchemists the first book in the Chronicles of Light by and Shadow by Liesel Schwarz. So, when an ARC became available for Clockwork Heart, book two I immediately dove in. Schwarz took this tale to a darker level, with multiple POVs and left me writhing on the floor. Three word review: action-packed, dark and disappointing.

The Shadow Reader by Sandy Williams

I purchased the Shadow Reader after reading a delightful review some time ago and this sat in my TBR pile until I found myself in the mood for a good urban fantasy. Williams takes us to Houston and to the realm of the Fae. The tale is filled with battles, a love triangle and characters you cannot help but fall for. I was immediately swept away.
