Julia Quinn reminds me why I love historical romances. THE VICOUNT WHO LOVES ME is the second book in the Bridgertons series, and I continued my adventures on audio. Kate Sheffield and the Viscount Anthony Bridgerton provided a hilarious romance filled with snark, stupidity, HEART, and heat. I dare you not to fall in love.
The Garden of Small Beginnings by Abbi Waxman
THE GARDEN OF SMALL BEGINNINGS written by Abbi Waxman and narrated by Emily Rankin is a tale that will resonate with anyone who has ever loved, lost, raised a child, had siblings or simply tried to find their way in this thing we call life. Brilliant, heartwarming and filled with moments that will have you laughing aloud and shedding a tear.d shedding a tear.
The Dead Zone by Stephen King
I read THE DEAD ZONE by Stephen King in the summer of 1979 and watched the movie in 1983 starring Christopher Walken as Johnny Smith. So it only made sense to revisit this classic on audio especially when it’s narrated by James Franco. Franco nailed it, and it was delightful to revisit this classic. Are you planning a road trip this summer? Spend it listening to THE DEAD ZONE.
Beartown by Fredrik Backman
Fredrik Backman takes us to a small rural town in Sweden known as Beartown. Here hockey is the heart of this isolated town. Where winning is everything. A place where when something dark happens involving the town’s star player their world divides. Powerful and poignant Backman weaved a tale that will take the reader through a gamut of emotions.
Death & the Brewmaster’s Widow by Loretta Ross
DEATH & THE BREWMASTER’S WIDOW by Loretta Ross is the second novel in the Auction Block Mystery series. Once again I chose to listen to the narrations of Amanda Ronconi. Suspenseful with action, danger, and the unthinkable “whodunit.”
