A single mom, a little boy who dresses up like a super hero, and a rescue dog and his partner made EVERY LITTLE KISS by Marina Adair a sweet and heartwarming listen. I read the first novel, but when I saw that Renee Raudman narrated the Sequoia Lake series, I switched to audio. I am so glad that I did. It added a nice touch, and I thoroughly enjoyed this story.
Dead Sky Morning by Karina Halle
DEAD SKY MORNING is the third book in Karina Halle’s Experiment in Terror series and lordy was it creeptastic. As we get to know the main characters and move into new cases this series just keeps getting better. Turn on the lights and grab your earbuds!
The Witches of New York by Ami McKay
The gilded era – 1880 New York and the promise of three young witches drew me in and had me listening to THE WITCHES OF NEW YORK written by Ami McKay and narrated by Julia Whelan. McKay offered up a dark and curious tale that I enjoyed despite its meandering pace.
The Lightkeeper’s Daughters by Jean E. Pendziwol
THE LIGHTKEEPER’S DAUGHTERS by Jean E. Pendziwol and narrated by Dara Rosenberg, Dawn Harvey, and Tom Parks shares the story of events that happened twenty years before on Porphyry Island situated on Lake Superior. Pendziwol skillfully brings past and present together brilliantly.
Six of My Favorite Standalone Listens
While I only began listening to audiobooks at the end of 2015, I have listened to over 179 audiobooks. I always share a top ten audio listens in December of each year, but for my blogoversary, I wanted to share six standalone favorites. I did this because series like the Others by Anne Bishop, all of Ilona Andrew’s books, the entire White Trash Zombie series and more would dominate. I wanted to recommend audios even a newbie could try. Grab an iced vanilla coffee and discover your next listen…
