Falling for Jillian by Kristen Proby is the third book in her Love Under the Big Sky series. I am happy to report that this heated contemporary works as a standalone. Falling for Jillian set in breathtakingly beautiful Montana had so many elements I enjoy; military men, small-town charm and a second chance romance. I chose to listen to this on audio and oh my..it was quite the experience.
Disobedience by Alvania Scarborough
Disobedience by Alvania Scarborough is the first novel in the Harker’s Hell series. It is an intriguing blend of science fiction and romantic suspense. I found myself completely caught up in its Old West world and historical romance vibe. A simmering romance, humor and a mystery threaded throughout the tale had me flipping the pages. Fresh, original and genre bending Scarborough gave me one heck of an adventure.
This Heart of Mine by Brenda Novak
This Heart of Mine by Brenda Novak is the eighth book in her Whiskey Creek series. I love small-town romances and I have always wanted to try one her novels. I was delighted that this worked as a standalone and was even more excited to meet Phoenix Fuller. An unusual heroine and a second chance romance gave me all the feels.

She is also a Psyker (human born with psychokinetic powers) who has trouble controlling her abilities. This was a short novel and a solid start to the series.
Owl and the Japanese Circus by Kristi Charish
Owl and the Japanese Circus by Kristi Charish, is the first novel in the urban fantasy series The Adventures of Owl. Mythology, vampires, dragons, demons, elves and more combined with a spunky thief as our heroine had this novel providing one heck of a ride.
