I’ve only listened to a novella by Molly Harper, and blogging friends have encouraged me to try more, so when How to Date Your Dragon, the first in the Mystic Bayou series became available I knew it was time. I am so glad that I did. I loved the town of Mystic Bayou, and it’s inhabitants. Harper quickly pulled me in, as did the stellar narration.
Burn Bright by Patricia Briggs
While I adore Mercy Thompson, the Alpha & Omega series is my favorite series by Briggs. Burn Bright by Patricia Briggs is the fifth book in the Alpha & Omega series and take place in the same world as the Mercy Thompson series. Burn Bright packed a wallop and kept me on edge. I lost myself in the story and devoured it in one sitting.
Nonna’s Corner: Easter Edition
Nonna’s Corner is where I share books and things reviewed by myself and my grandchildren affectionately known as the Royals. It’s the Easter Edition of Nonna’s Corner and today I have three Spring/Easter picture books that are eggtastic for your little ones. Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy!
Zero Day A Novel by Ezekiel Boone
Zero Day by Ezekiel Boone is the final book in the Hatching series. The series has taken us through an apocalyptic disaster involving spiders. Told from multiple perspectives from around the world, we get the third-person POV accounts of man’s reactions and attempts to survive. While we didn’t get as much time with the eight-legged monsters, Boone delivered an intense climax.
